i took some photos of the cherry blossoms blooming off blake st. the other morning.
since then, there's been a snowstorm that froze the flowers & turned them a sad sort of robicund color.

this completely explains my intense drive to document the mundane. if i hadn't taken the forty-five seconds it took me to snap these shots, the opportunity would have flitted away from me in as little time as it took to stop & smell the roses (er, well, the cherry blossoms!).
here's to a life full of documenting every little thing.

  1. Wow, I can't believe you're having snow! You're completely right, these are so beautiful, it's a good them you 'snapped them up' (haha) while you could. :)

  3. These are so beautiful!
There's a gorgeous purple-flowering tree in my boyfriends neighborhood and for a week I said I'd photograph it, and then temperatures dropped a bit, and the flowers all died :( So depressing! Definitely need to start documenting the little things!
