...and mrs. deer catches strep

today, husband & i had a new first: our visit to the doctor for this lady. turns out, i've got strep. oy!
27
but staying home sick sure makes me grateful i've got a stellar best friend to drive me to & fro for doctors visits, two pups to snuggle with, and let's not forget this biggie: health insurance!

thank you, robbie, for driving me around all day, for getting me a milkshake after the doctor, for speaking for me since my voice is gone, for laughing when the doc used kid-sized diagnostic tools on me, and for refilling my sprite cup & cracker bowl with no qualms. (you're kind of my favorite person ever.)

  7. aww no! I hope you're feeling better soon, Bridget! It's kind of insane when you talk about health insurance in the US, cos in England I take it for granted that we get it through the NHS!

At least if you're staying home then you have some time to get some projects started! Maybe even start working on your sewing?
In terms of tips it's really just practice that you need. Is it sewing machine or hand embroidery that you're more interested in? Cos if it's machine work (as in you want to start to be able to make clothes, etc) then the best advise I was given was to learn how to sew a straight line! It sounds silly but once you can do that you can make pretty much anything!
