i'm blessed to have such a domestic husband. the man is a neat freak, he loves animals and kids, he likes cooking, his drawers & book bag are immaculate inside.
so when i suggested we bake after a week of being stuck in bed, he was pretty down with the idea.
things started out normal enough. we pulled out the bowls & measuring cups & spoons & started mixing things.
and bernie & archibald offered to help too.
and while we waited for the oven to heat, he studied & i did some light reading.
and then all of a sudden, i looked up & things started to get weird.
really, really weird.
but i guess that's what i get for baking with husband. and if i'm being honest, it was probably the best time i ever had baking.
and they were yummy too.

That was hysterical, and totally something I would do.
Look at all the cute cooking stuff you have!! You guys are adorable! I like his cookie monster...I think the last time I got the hubs to cook with me was when we were dating. I hid behind the counter while he took a bathroom break and scared the pee out of him when he came back. Maybe that is why I have had a hard time getting him in the kitchen with me! ha!

Our family grew up with that exact "you are special today" plate. My parents would pull it out for birthdays. Then a few years ago for Christmas our parents surprised us all with our own{for our own families}.

I love to bake with the husbands he is very helpful for mixing in all the chocolate chips at the end. Love the Cookie Dough man so funny!
