we two are convinced we were born in an unfitting decade (though, admittedly, we dearly love our nikons & iphones). every once in awhile (or very often indeed) we like to transplant ourselves, backwardly, to a time (late 50s/early 60s) when juke boxes, full skirts, and wingtips were in full bloom.
she loves: knee-kissing hemlines, leather-strapped cameras, the twist, words like, "golly."
he loves: dress shoes worn sockless, tobacco & cornflower suits, golden tie bars, a coiffed 'do.
what decade owns you?

Lovely post. Sometimes I think that I am born in the wrong decade as well. I think everyone feels like that sometimes! I love these photos and your headband. Adorable.

I love your headband! And I wish I lived in the 90s, the music back then was great. You had RHCP, Nirvana and a lot more, I wish I could've seen them live back then.

Gahh, your nail polish and top are fabulous. I'm a total modern girl; I love the here & now as well as what the future may hold.
ReplyDeleteYou both look great, love the look of this place! xx
ReplyDeleteI'd be a late sixties early 70's girl. Best Beatles albums meet First born hippies. But 50's and 60's have the loveliest style of course!
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely, I love your floral hair band and your nail polish :) xx
ReplyDeleteYou both have excellent style. Is that a hot cocoa? Looks delicious.

You are sooo pretty! I have to say I'm a big fan of the 70's.
ReplyDeletefashion wise, definitely the 50's! I just went dress shopping and my faves are always the halters with full skirts :)
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness. how adorable are you two?!
ReplyDeleteYou two are one of the most charming couples. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteit's so so so hard for me to say, I'ma sucker for the 20's and I adore the 40's! Yet also drawn to the 1600's. I am just all over the board.
ReplyDeletelove the diner pics:)
would love to experience the victorian era...though not in love with how women were treated. love that yellow cardi on you! you look beautiful!

life full of loves
Oh my goodness. I just love these photos.. Makes me want to go find a "hole in the wall" diner in my city and snap some pictures. So cute!
ReplyDeleteThere is just far too much I love about this post! Your nail colour, that frothy drink, your boy's moustache, the fact that you ate in a diner ... we don't have diner's here :(
ReplyDeleteThe 20s is where my husband and I belong. Lovely art deco style owns my heart.

If I could be a character in one of Jane Austin's books I would be thrilled. I love that century. However, I know I wouldn't survive well in it, hopefully no time machine or freaky friday accident has me stranded in that century, but I like to pretend it would be marvelous.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think it would be really interesting to go to the 50's and see how my parents were as kids. And then flash forward to the 60's when they were teens. I would love that.
love your photos <3
ReplyDeleteUmmm whatever it is you're drinking, I want one! My decade…..would probably have been the 1950's or 1970's. Maybe even the 30's. I'm so in love with every decade but my own HAHA!
ReplyDeleteI could have totally been a hippie...definitely should've been a 60's or 70's child, although, really, the early 1900's appeal to me too.
ReplyDeletesometimes i wish i lived in the 50's/60's but then i remember how much i love technology too :) and the foods looks to die for!
ReplyDeleteyou guys are so so adorable, i love what you both said. and i feel like i fit in the 50s the most too, it all just seemed so romantic and innocent then.
ReplyDeleteps i want your floral head band thing :)
you two are super duper cute together... these pics scream vintage and chic!!

Which diner is this? It looks so familiar! I grew up in denver and I will always love it. Also, if I chose a decade it would be the 40's those cute hats and high heeled shoes?? yes!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like such a fun place! Cool pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute date...I think I could totally live in a time with jukeboxes and milkshakes with hamburgers.
ReplyDeletexo erica
What a darling date night :) We don't have any adorable diners in town like that. Jealous.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so scrumptious and I'm jealous of that price.

Nice place and you are very cute :)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, I love the style you both have and your longing for a past era. I sometimes like to imagine that I belong in a different decade too, although my DSLR and iphone would be dearly missed. I love your headband, also, it looks so lovely with that yellow. And all your rings? You have such a lovely attention to detail!
ReplyDeleteI love all your rings! a girl after my own heart
ReplyDeleteYou are seriously the cutest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteI love your nails and sweater and flower!
Darling!
