last summer, robbie's parents were so generous & bought us a membership to the denver zoo.
let me say, it's been much appreciated -- we're there more often than we should probably admit. one of my favorite zoo trips was this past winter. i'd gotten so used to going just in the summer that i never realized how fun it could be in the cold, toting around a cup of cocoa.
this month, the zoo opened a new asia exhibit for the elephants, so we gave stopped by yesterday. it was absolutely magical, full of colorful flags & lanterns & other trinkets -- even an old, retired taxi. it was so neat...i think robert brought it up at least four or five times in conversation today, saying, "uh, I just want to go the zoo again!"
i was just at the denver zoo this past weekend! i love all your photos, great job capturing the atmosphere :)

i've always had a dream of streams of sun-soaked prayer flags crossing my backyard JUST like that! stunning photos (as always, love your eye) and total inspiration to make my way to the denver zoo soon. what a sweet gift from robbie's parents, too. don't you love presents that are experiences? ah, the best. xo!
