make your own party fringe!
it's so easy-peasy, you don't really need a tutorial. but just in case...
you'll need: a roll of twine, 5-10 yards of multicolored fabric, fabric scissors.
step one: pick your fabric. i used "martha stewart" hues -- red, pink, oatmeal, mint, and gold. tip: for photos, it's best to use colors with some contrast, and metallic strips help too. depending on how long you want your fringe, use 5-10 yards of fabric, or 1-2 yards of each color.
step two: cut your fabric into strips about 1-1.5 inches wide by 10-12 inches long. they do not need to be exact, or cut into meticulous, straight lines. trust me, this part is tedious and your wrist will hurt after awhile, so it's best if you accept imperfection from the get-go.
step three: tie the fabric onto the twine so that about 5-6 inches fall on either side of the twine, the knot resting at the top. with five different colors, it's ok to decide on a pattern because they'll still look perfectly messy.
