summer, lately

a little list of what summer's meant for me so far...
a shocking number of polka dots.
...& not nearly enough ice cream, yet.
bike rides galore-a-saurus.
robbie very nicely encouraged me to quit my day job to focus on photography & other things
...and i did!
top buns, on my head. every. day.
celebrating our first anni on the first day of summer.
waking up to surround-sound thunderstorms outside our apartment in the middle of the night...and staying awake to watch them.
more photos than i know what to do with...honestly. where does one put them?
5 pairs of chewed-up flats (yes, he got the ones in this photos...oh archibald, lucky you're so cute.)
...and robbie's calculator watch got caught in the fire too : /
a second round of strep.
wearing my $9 target sandals into the ground & refusing to buy another pair all summer.
robbie's got a swanky new pharmacy job at denver health ; )
secretly listening to the she & him christmas album on surround sound when i'm alone (because robbie would die if he found me listening before thanksgiving...).
...and secretly watching 500 days of summer while editing photos (because he'd also die knowing i watched it without him).
watching through the entire first season of the new girl...three times. (notice a zooey deschanel trend? we like her.).
the skies have continued to rain down on us with free things: recently, a dining table.
missing my weird best friend kelsey.
deciding that sewing really needs to be my new hobby...
being grateful ten times a minute for a wall of big windows that open wide.
repeat offenses of the fine-dining experience that is mcdonald's breakfast. such epicureans we are.
another hair change: the bangs are back, folks, and things are getting dark.

have a really nice day, friends! eat some ice cream & dance in the street for me.

  10. Ou is that the polka dot blouse you thrifted? Love it with the pink pants!

Agh you make me want to get bangs so bad, but it'd be so impractical with my job having to pin my bangs back or have them in my face as i go go go go go. :(

Also. I totally had a dream last night where I wanted Mcdonald's breakfast, their hot cakes - I basically grew up on those. However, my dream Mcdonalds didn't sell them. It was disappointed to say the least.

    Great post!

  13. There could never be enough ice cream :)

I can't listen to Christmas music until Thanksgiving, although, last year...I started listening to it at the start of November. By the time Christmas rolled around, I was sick of it...haha

    I love Summer...it's my favorite season :)
