today...

i was feeling real good. i walked home from work, threw on a ruffled, yellow blouse & walked into the living room, cheery & ready to bake a batch of cupcakes.

that's when i saw what i saw:
guilty face.
guilty paws.
the crime.
archibald had left me a big surprise. turns out, he broke into my craft box, took out a black stamping pad, and smeared the ink all over our little couch. and all over our big couch. and all over our bed. and all over my world market quilt & duvet set from pottery barn. oh, and he ate my entire (wonderful, quirky, beautiful) stamp collection while he was at it.

i might have cried. a little. or a lot. but, at the end of the day, i really love this big-eared, wrinkle-faced guy. and stuff is just stuff. (that said, if anyone wants to donate some rubber stamps, i'll take 'em.)

  13. We just recently started leaving our pups out in the house alone (instead of kenneling them) and I am so worried everyday to see what I might come home to. Luckily so far so good. --knock on wood!

  14. I'm sorry to say this made me and my husband howl with laughter, because we know that guilty expression all too well from our little pooch Stevie Nicks! That said, I'm so sorry to hear the detruction little Archibald caused and will in future keep my eyes peeled for unusually beautiful rubber stamps for you! xxx

  15. I know how you feel. We love our fur pals, but it is so frustrating that everything we own gets wrecked. My cats had ruined our new couch within 2 days. Seriously. I am so sorry about your couch :(

  19. Oh poor thing! Don't you just hate that?? My 2 year old furbaby still chews everything up (shoes, couches, pillows, chairs, etc) and as much as I hate it - his face is just too darn cute to stay mad at for long. So sorry about your craft/stamp collection! {and your couch, bed, other couch, quilt, etc...}
