a big, big, big thank you

i just wanted to say thank you SO much to everyone who responded with flying advice on this post. several of you gave me some new tricks that really put me at ease!
Robbie gave me 7 notes to read on the plane at different time intervals. he's so good to me.
i also lucked out & sat next to a dude who not only reminded me a lot of robbie (which was comforting), but also chatted with me and kept me laughing with stories about his wife who also hates flying...oh, and my panic attacks kept him laughing too.

and robbie also saved the day by writing me 7 notes (above) to read at timed intervals throughout the flight. he's, like, such a babe.

  10. Oh my goodness. I just read your post about how you don't like to fly. It sounds like you had some good things to help you pass the time.

I enjoy flying... I just wish I had some tips for flying more calmly. My husband is a pilot, so I usually refer to him if I have any off the wall questions about flying. That's a big help. My aunt is pretty scared of flying, and she's always my husband questions about things like "how the heck can you fly in the clouds" and "planes can't fall out of the sky, right?"

  11. i freaking hate flying too!! let me know if you ever come up a good ol natural method to decrease the anxiety. I also lol-ed in your earlier post about looking at the flight attendants every 5 seconds to check their expressions...i can totally sympathize.
