this place we call home...
is not always neat. but it has kitsch, which is better. it has bricks on its walls & books on its shelves. it has mismatched plates. a bed that barely rises off the floor. a glass jar full of lipstick. it has rainboots in the entryway. and its windows open outward and wide. it has children's books (for someday). and camera parts and a toolbox and an atlas and two globes. it was pretty before we got it. and then we put our stuff on its walls and made messes and now it's perfect.
p.s. photos from robbie's iphone, taken with vsco cam.
It's beautiful and your words describe turning a house into a home so perfectly!

I love your exposed brick and tassels! My college apartment was built in the 1850's and my bedroom has a fireplace and exposed brick, I'm smitten!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable blog! I think that home isn't really home unless you have all of the things in it that bring you the most pleasure (cleanliness optional).
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower, btw :)
