thrift!

you know those times when you go thrifting, and you walk out thinking, "geesh! would ya look at this magnificent haul!?" -- as you carry out armfuls of housewares and books and skirts?

friday was the opposite sort of thrifting experience for me. i actually felt that way when i walked into the dressing room with a cart full of jackets and sweaters. but all of them were too baggy, or too stained, or too holey. so the mister & i headed home empty-handed. our friend gilbert found bagfuls of jackets & tacky graphic tees though -- congrats!
but hey, if you bring you camera into the thrift store & snap away, you never really go home empty-handed.

  1. I used to be big on thrifting, but lately I haven't had the patience for it. It really takes time to unearth the hidden treasures. Maybe if I bring a camera on my next thrifting trip I'll have a little more fun... hmmmmm..... ;)

  3. That is disappointing! It's always nice when thrift stores turn out to be a gold mine!

  7. I think used books are my favourite, and I love how there's not too much organization in the shelves.
