yesterday...

yesterday r & i had a special autumn date. we visited a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, AND corn maze! we wore boots and drank root beer from glass bottles and brought home a very fat pumpkin. then we watched a horror movie. because robbie said my movie choices (hocus pocus, halloweentown…) were for children. i told him i am a kid. he couldn't argue with that. we still watched a horror movie.

…and of course we took a million photos. but i'm up to my ears in work today, so hold on til' tomorrow, friends! xo!

  1. How do you guys get to spend SO much time together?! When Derek was in just classes for school he was CONSTANTLY studying! We only really broke for a Saturday night date and church Sunday morning! Now with clinicals and residency 7 months away it's even crazier! I envy that!

  2. oooh I love this date idea! i've been having a secret little desire to get myself and a certain fellow out of the city and back to suburbia heaven to pick pumpkins and whatnot.. we shall see if it works out! and also, you have EXCELLENT movie choices! i am in full support! xo

  3. @from head to toe: haha! we actually don't have very many days off together, so when we do, we try to fit in multiple outings…and stretch 'em into multiple blog posts. ; ) it helps tremendously that since i'm a photographer, my schedule is a little wacky & i'm able to plan my days off to spend with his -- we're very blessed to be able to do that. last year i was working full time, and also shooting & doing an internship -- we had almost no time off together, so i think we've been anxious to make up lost ground. i do hope you & your sweet man will have more time together soon, though! i've been there, and it's really tough. hopefully after he powers through those residencies…i'll be keeping you in my thoughts, lady.

  6. So sweet. Ryan and I have been so busy lately this post really made me rethink our weekend to-dos. We need to put down our lists and spend a little time remembering all the things we love about each other. Sounds like a great date.
