historic farm daytrip

on saturday, robbie and i visited a quaint historic farm & museum in littleton, co with his parents who are visiting this week from seattle. there were cows and chickens and donkeys, a blacksmith's shop, restored barns, and a preserved historic home. we loved going through the little home & admiring the quilts, and wallpapered ceilings, and pressed flowers in frames, and stacks of little dishes. we loved this daytrip , and we'll definitely be going back (p.s. if you're visiting, it's so fun -- and free!). we would have taken a million more photographs, but my camera died early on. : / we did manage to get some film shots & instagrams though. oh, and robbie's mom bought me a harmonica -- score!

  13. So fun! I love visiting little historical places like that because it feels a lot more personal than reading about it in a book or seeing a replica inside of a museum.

  17. The kerosene lamp is my favourite. I love visiting old places and day trips. I can't imagine how they wallpapered the ceiling that must have been a job and a half, yikes!
