a ferry runs across the puget sound in our little hometown of mukilteo, connecting to whidbey island. the other day, robbie & i went over with his siblings & their kids for an afternoon date in langley -- complete with window shopping, pizza, gelato…and lots of photographs. robbie asked me to take lots of instagrams and hashtag all of them: #islandlife. which i utterly failed to do. sorry robbie.

p.s. future kids: please note the 13th picture down. we aren't lying to you when we talk about the days when newspapers were still being printed on paper.

  8. My heart is fluttering when I see these pictures. I lived in coupeville, but there was many days we would ride the bus to langley visit that grocery store (had a friend that worked at the coffee place in it) and wander there little streets. We would always take on their arts and craft festival and langley was where I first say les mis. Thank you for bringing back some lovely memories.

  9. Haha! Loved the last comment. :D It looks like a little town from the past. I love the newspaper dispenser (I think that's what it is!) I had not idea they still existed!
