over the weekend, lane & i scoured a couple of our favorite denver thrift shops -- something we haven't done in awhile. spending a couple unhurried hours in a thrift shop & digging for treasures always refreshes me. i love spending such a small amount of money to fill such big holes in my wardrobe. plus, it's fun to experiment with items i probably wouldn't shell out my pennies for at full price -- things that often end up being my favorites.

I'm totally with you. I actually find shopping at highstreet stores a little overwhelming now. Everything seems to easy to find, too 'in your face'. I love the peacefulness of thrifting and how much you need to look. It's always such a lovely surprise when you find something wonderful!

looks like fun! it really is like digging for treasure--so worth it. especially when you're with friends :) looks like you scored an awesome pair of shoes and purple dress!

Looks like you found some great stuff! Thrifting with a friend is always great fun. It's fun to browse racks of different items as opposed to a mall or such where there's about five of the same item on each rack.

Looks like a fantastic experience. I love the idea of finding hidden treasures and thrifting allows that. I'm still getting better at it, do you have any tips?

i wish there were these big, warehouse-like thrift stores near me. all we have are small-ish shops that make me feel so self conscious about taking out my camera. these are great shots!
