i thrifted this dress over the weekend, and have been living in it the last two days. it's long & it hits right between my knees & feet. every time i wear a long dress, my favorite iron & wine song plays in my head: love is a dress that you made, long -- to hide your knees. and i like the little print. maybe only to a clotheshorse can a piece of clothing feel like home -- and this does, to me. i've edited close to a 1,000 photos in it, listened to a new album, called a best friend, tasted the world's best mocha (courtesy of robbie), had good dreams in it. i like the stories the things we own tell.
