frame board: a $5 craft under 5 minutes

this frame board (an alternative to a bulletin board) is one of those crafts that's been on my list for 5 years that i never got around to actually making. i just hadn't found the right frame at a good price. but i finally did. $4 for this baby at the thrift shop. i about cried & hugged the checkout lady.

to make it, just pull string across the board in three places (you want it nice & taut because stuff will weight it down) and staple it to the wood on the backside. then use clothespins to attach memos, cards, favorite photographs -- whatever you fancy.

This is so pretty. I've seen something similar on Pinterest, but they were to flashy & bright. I like this one the best. That frame is adorable, it reminds me of another time in history...

I love this! These are the types of things I want to make for our home after we remodel each room!

@charlene zale: well thank you! haha, yes, i can't take credit for the idea itself. i first saw one about 5 years ago now that my friend had made. aaaaand like so many things, it went on the list & never got accomplished. : ) it's definitely versatile so you can style it however you want.

@heather marie: a remodel?! a lot of work, but how fun!

not a HUGE remodel, but we have a couple of walls that we want to knock down! lol our bathroom is super super tiny, and our bedroom is bigger then we need. (they're next to each other) we just want to expand it a little.

This is so creative! It also seems like loads of fun. It would look great on that unused space you have not a clue what to do with it.

Lovely. That frame is perfect! I have one of these except mine is made from an old window frame. It's one of my favorite things hanging on my walls.
