if you try to wear a headscarf & it messes up your bangs…well, then you have an ascot

silk scarf: thrifted / sweater: h&m / skirt/shoes: f21 / belt: starlet

while getting dressed the other day, i attempted to tie my hair up in a silk scarf a la nancy drew. (who else was a part of the nancy drew book club? i did it behind my mom's back, using my training bank account. i maybe depleted all my birthday money, but it was worth it for those sweet, sweet paperbacks and clamp-on book light. and the disappearing ink.)

anyway, the scarf: my bangs were not having it. sticking out every which way, disobeying in spite of my threats: "i'll bobby pin you back! i'll do it!" so, in exasperation, i pulled the scarf down and was about to retry when robbie walked by and said, "nice ascot." and so there it stayed. case closed.

  6. Love these photos, I also have trouble wearing a silk scarf in my hair so I usually tie them as bandanas around my neck.

  14. whenever i try to wear a scarf as a headband, it never stays in place for more than 5 minutes. that's why i wear it across my forehead and not on top of my head. it has to do with the shape of my head i think.

anyhoo, i love your cardigan -- the color and the floral crochet design is just love. your pleated skirt is beautiful too. i always have a weakness for anything that has electric pleats. <3
