you were worth it

to take the second snap, i had to lie down in the middle of the sidewalk on a rather busy walkway, on a rather busy afternoon. and i know i've been over-sounding the trumpet on this one, but you know what? i can't get enough of this season. every little peek of color from a green twig's been worth the wait. and i still clap over every bloom -- well into the summer, for our winter in denver was much too long this year. i don't want to freeze time, but i wouldn't mind stretching it out a bit, like saltwater taffy pulled between teeth, or a yawn that goes on just a second longer than you'd think.

  1. "like saltwater taffy pulled between the teeth" perfect way to describe the feeling. and i love that you had to lay down on a busy sidewalk. it makes that pretty picture even prettier.

  2. The best ways to get beautiful photographs are to be in awkward positions! I had to do a photo project for one of my college classes and I ended up standing up on chairs all over an outdoor mall :p

  4. Hi there! These pictures are beautiful. I also LOVE Denver :) I am a MN gal and the winter this last year was abnormally and painfully long. :(
