an ode to nonsense

i like a little nonsense now and then. i like to keep it nearby. i think that's why i keep silly books around, and things that no longer work like they're meant to -- globes broken off from their bases and cameras that no longer click. i always found possibility -- or impossibility -- terribly more compelling than reality.

  1. Love this! I am currently taking a module in university in nonsense writing -- so I can identify with your fascination!

  3. Lovely, lovely. Great way to look at things. I have a terrible habit of not throwing things out, and have much "nonsense" piling up; but it's MY nonsense, ya know?

  6. Beautiful. I wish I had such decor for my little home. Especially the globe, gahh! And I LOVE that print of the man with all the hats! I used to be in LOVE with that book (the name has slipped my mind apparently) and my grandma would read it to us whenever we went over to her place.
