the horses, who live right off the road

*these are from july -- the first week of july -- and aren't you embarrassed for me that this post has sat around in draft mode since then? personally, i'm humiliated for myself.

meeting these new friends off the road in park city, utah, will always be way, way up there on my list of favorite memories. when we walked up to the fence, i was just looking to get a pretty snap of them from far off, but the horses -- or that one particularly outgoing lady -- decided my expectations were too low. she galloped right over from across the field, stuck her face over the fence, and nudged robbie until he pet her mane. she was the gentlest, sweetest thing, and i never want to forget her.

  1. How precious! I love how the simplest of memories can remain the best ones.

And don't be embarrassed about delayed posting. I can never seem to keep track of my scheduling. It happens to the best of us! Don't you worry.

  3. The beauty of a draft never posted is that you get to relieve in months later.

  6. These photos are so lovely, horses are such magical creatures, it's no wonder the "unicorn", one of the most fantastic creatures, was based off of these guys!
