snowday

to be honest, we don't always -- or even often -- get a snowy christmas in these parts. even then, the rain came and washed away the snow by the evening. but for a few still & quiet moments in the morning, we padded around in it, held the wintry air in our lungs. a snowy dawn in the pacific northwest will make even the grinchiest grinch believe in santa -- and a whole other slew of wonderful things before noon.
