whenever we find ourselves out of town, i try to make a point of stopping in at a local thrift store. i'm not big on souvenirs -- i prefer a nice, full memory card in my camera. but it's sort of fun to find something in a nearby thrift or antique shop -- just a pretty plate, or a cozy sweater, or the like. while we were in texas a couple weeks ago, robbie and i quickly perused some thrift racks after wandering through historic downtown. i picked up this plaid, mustard gem of a vintage skirt. she may not be something that defines mckinney, texas to anyone but me…but she's my texas skirt, and she'll always remind me of our week there, amongst the texans.
