hi

photo of bernie that captures the current essence of moi

still stormy-headed + scratchy-throated over here. froggy is the word i've been using. froggy's such a good word for it.

but, on the bright side...

1 : robbie ventured to the market and returned bearing armfuls of: oranges, grapefruit, airborne, gatorade, sprite, and soup. twas like a chorus of angels cantillating magnificently in my living room. surrounding me. holding me.

2 : we calculated a conversion rate for donuts to miles. here's how that happened:
bridget: how many inches across are donuts?
robbie: (without hesitation) four inches.
(...we corroborated this with the internet donut-measuring powers that be. he was correct.)
so! 3 donuts per foot x 5280 feet per mile = 15, 840 donuts per mile.
so, if you are, say, 60 miles from home...that's the same as being 950, 400 donuts from home.
MATH IS USEFUL!

3 : coconut oil. no explanation needed. just coconut oil in all its wonderful, make-my-sick-skin-glow glory.

4 : laundry. seriously, i'm obsessed with doing laundry. always have been. in kindergarten, i asked my mom to teach me how to do the laundry, and i've been doing it ever since. i used to daydream about doing laundry all day. i had a song about it. coming back from a trip AND being sick means that there's tonnnsss of laundry to do. it is, quite literally, my fantasy. i'm insane.

5 : i had a dream last night that i won some contest for a lifetime supply of hair bows, and had a different bow to wear every day for the rest of my life. this is also known as: i am in love with my sleeping brain.

  1. This post made me giggle on this stormy day here in Aus.

I am going to go home and tell my Stephen about you and Robbie's Donut calculations. I think it is ingenious and should be used as an alternative measuring formula.

Also, I like the idea of having a different bow for everyday. I like that idea a lot :)

    1. p.s I just realised who Robbie reminds me of - Peter Sarsgard! (and I mean that in the greatest way. I love him)

p.p.s. sorry for the random comment :)

  2. Love the doggie photo!

You're obsessed with laundry?! Wanna come over to to my house and help? I HATE laundry and always leave it until the last minute and leave it until my poor husband is forced to do it.

  6. Do you use coconut oil as a moisturizer or a cleanser?

    1. i use it regularly as a moisturizer, and once in awhile as a cleanser. : ) i was using an ultra sensitive moisturizer before, and even that made my skin feel sort of tight, if that makes sense. been using just coconut oil for a few weeks now, and my skin feels super light + soft + clean! i'll always have acne scarring to a degree, but it's made my breakouts much less red and inflamed. super happy with it.

    2. Good to know! I feel like when I google it I get all sorts of extremist responses -- not ready to ONLY use coconut oil for all beauty needs hah, but I'm definitely interested in trying it as a moisturizer. Thanks for the tip!
