summer swelter

Windows thrown open up and down the lane assured us -- if we'd had any doubts -- it was summer. Overhead, the tiniest plane made the largest sound, and our shadows cast long against the sidewalks, eyes squinting as we ambled over crosswalks. The whole city seemed to sweat. Every building and sidewalk stone and power line and bird. The unyielding swelter of summer.

  1. These are amazing! They look completely like the beautiful quality of film photos- you had me fooled! I love how they capture the hot and quiet mood of a hot summer's day. Perfection.

    1. Thanks, Jenni! You always make my day! I still can't believe how well VSCO filters mimic processed film. It's astounding to me.

    1. Thanks, Naomi. Sometimes I forget how much I love b+w processing...and so then I become fully obsessed with it again for a month or two at a time. I think I'm back there right now. ; )
