bathroom revamp

Because our apartment's a studio, every square foot is multi-purposed. Not an inch goes unused! It's very open, which is really fun -- but presents challenges, too.

Our bathroom is really the one part of our place that's singular-purposed. Because it's our little oasis, I like to switch little trinkets in and out of it often. Recently, I pulled in a couple things that were going unappreciated elsewhere -- the salt lamp, macrame hanger, etc. -- and it made a huge difference.

(And yes -- I'll be replacing the plants with ones that need less sunlight -- but, just to give you an idea for now.)

Find it:

Salt rock lamp: we love ours. truly a favorite purchase. (lamps here)

Macrame plant hanger: vintage (similar -- and well-priced -- here)
Also! Pretty!:  macrame hammock // macrame valance // macrame mirror

Paris photograph: thrifted

Glass planter box: ikea

Shower curtain: amazon

Metal shelving unit: found

Anatomical posters: thrifted (also available here)

  2. Cute! I love all of the plants. Alas, we have no window so plants aren't really an option in ours, but they add such life to a small space.

    1. oh dear!

hopefully your next place will have better plant-growin' light. i know there are low-light plants...something like a snake plant, etc. -- but i'm not sure quite HOW low they can tolerate.

    1. It's my favorite! We are constantly moving it from room to room because it looks so good everywhere. I think when we move into a bigger place, we'll probably get a couple more. We're obsessed.
